South Tyneside - March 2018 Meeting Report

Members of the Branch attended an informal meeting on the 21st March which was an opportunity for those present to talk about their own research and what had initiated their interest in family history.  There were some interesting tales with a diversity of topics covering not only Northumberland and Durham, but stories from Norway, Colonial Africa, USA and Australia.

One theme which was central to all of our stories was "grannie's tales" which, when researched, were more often than not found to be true.
